Obituary

Charles LeRoy (Buddy) Bain, age 82, went to his heavenly home on Saturday July 30, 2022 in LaGrange, Georgia.

He was born February 12, 1940, in Tallassee, Alabama first son to the late CW and Minnie Bain. Survived by his brother Kenneth Bain (Mary), sister Ann Yarborough (Larry), and proceeded in death by his brother Larry Bain (Pam).

Buddy enlisted in the United States Navy in 1958 as an Aviation Ordinance Mechanic. He is a decorated combat veteran that survived two tours in the Viet Nam conflict earning the Purple Heart, Navy Commendation, Combat Action, and Bronze Star with Valor Medal Award. He achieved his Officer commission in 1976 and finished his military career as a Navy Lieutenant, retiring after 21 years of service.

Buddy was a dedicated follower of Christ and deacon of Reeds Chapel Baptist Church. Everyone knew that Buddy liked nothing more than an afternoon on the golf course with his golf buddies.

He was united in marriage to his wife Sandra Bain of fifty-nine years.

He is survived by his children: Chuck Bain (Tracy), Kay Bain, and Bill Bain.

Seven grandchildren: Taylor Ann, Anna Grace, Erika (Justin), Christopher, Daphney, Kenneth, Austin and three great-grandchildren including: Emery, Julian, Nolan.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at Reeds Chapel Baptist Church of West Point, GA at 2:00 PM EDT, Pastor Jeff McCartney and Pastor Wayne Hester officiating.

The family will greet friends for visitation before the service at 1:00 PM EDT at Reeds Chapel Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Reeds Chapel Baptist Church Mission Fund PO Box 532, West Point, Georgia 31833.

Services have been entrusted to Bluffton Funeral Services, Lanett, Alabama.
