Mr. Franklin Lee Black Jr.,59, of Valley, Alabama passed away on August 22, 2018 at EAMC Lanier Nursing Home in Valley Alabama. He was born on July 1, 1959 to Franklin and Gwen Black in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Lee was a veteran of the US Army where he served as a helicopter crew chief. After his military service Lee worked for several different West Point Pepperell operations as a loom technician. Lee enjoyed hunting and was also a "Muscle Car" enthusiast.

Lee was preceded in death by his father Franklin Black, his grandparent's M.D. and Mary Potts and grandmother Mattie Black. He is survived by his mother Gwen Potts, Wife Linda Black; brother Jim Dodgen; sisters Lisa Dodgen and Elaine Marshall; children Franklin Richardson, Jeffery Richardson, and Kayla Black; and grandchildren Colton Dean Parker and James Garry Morgan.

Visitation will be held at Bluffton Funeral Services in Lanett, AL on Monday August 27, 2018 at 10:00 AM EDT followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM EDT also at Bluffton Funeral Services. Interment will be on Monday August 27,2018 at 2:30 PM EDT at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Alabama.

Reverend John Samanie will officiate.
