Mrs. Griffin was born on January 3rd, 1938 in Juarez, Mexico. She married and moved to the United States in 1956 where she lived in Arizona and Nevada before settling in Lanett, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-eight years, Mr. Maxie O'Neal Griffin of Lanett, Alabama and her son, Angel Valenzuela of St. Augustine, Florida.

Mrs. Griffin leaves her cherished children, Eleazar Valenzuela of El Paso, Texas, Mary Betty Palen of Southbend, Indiana, John Frank Griffin of Gainesville, Florida, Loretta Janet Griffin-Sturkie of Lanett, Alabama and Maxie Arthur Griffin of Lanett, Alabama, 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren as well as many great, great grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom and homemaker for many years until going to work for Hanes Hosiery until she gained employment with the prominent textile giant West Point Pepperell at both their Lanett and Langdale locations in the cloth room for several years.
