Mr. Jack B. Moore, 78 year old resident of Valley, passed away at his home on Thursday, May 30, 2018.

Mr. Moore was born Friday, March 1, 1940, in Fairfax, Alabama, the son of the late Elsie Patterson and Huey Moore. He was a graduate of Lanett High School, Southern Union Jr. College and Athens State University. Mr. Moore was a resident of Fairfax his entire life and a lifelong member of the Fairfax United Methodist Church. He taught English at Ranburne High School, Ranburne, Alabama and then worked for West Point Pepperell until his retirement. Mr. Moore married Linda Ann Hale of LaGrange on December 21, 1969 in Tarrant, Alabama.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Linda Hale Moore, his daughter, Gretchen A. Moore, his grandson, John Patrick Moore, his brother, Jerry C. Moore and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 3, 2018, at 2:00 PM EDT from Fairfax United Methodist Church with a visitation following immediately after the service.

The family of Mr. Moore would appreciate memorials to be made to Fairfax United Methodist Church in his name.
