James Carlton Daniel of LaFayette Alabama passed on Wednesday August 2nd, 2023. Born May 28th, 1939 in Riverview Alabama as the youngest son of the late Mr. Roy & Effie Kate Daniel all of Riverview. Mr. Daniel is the brother of the late Sara Williams, Betty Hazel, Mary Wickham & William Daniel.

Mr. Daniel is survived by his wife of 43 years, Shelia White Daniel of LaFayette, AL; one daughter Amy Johnson-Fendley of Warm Springs, Ga; Mr. Daniel is also survived by his two granddaughter's Piper Fendley & Pearson Fendley both of Kennesaw, Georgia.

Mr. Daniel served in the United States Navy from July 16, 1957 to June 1,1961 where he was awarded an honorable discharge & many recognition's for his bravery & heroism. Upon Mr. Daniel's honorable discharge from the United States Navy, Mr. Daniel returned home and proudly served in Law Enforcement in the states of Alabama & Georgia, collectively for over 40 years. Mr. Daniel served many prestigious positions within the West Point Police Department graduating from motorcycle patrolman to the role of Captain of the West Point Police Department, as well as Chief Investigator of the Criminal Division within Troup County and as a Deputy Sheriff of Harris County, Georgia. Mr. Daniel was a devoted member of the Fraternal Order of Police, American Legion and an avid blood donor to the American Red Cross Association for most of his career & life.

A visitation & celebration of life will be held for Mr. James Daniel at Bluffton Funeral Services in Lanett, Alabama from 5-7pm EST on Monday August 7th, 2023. All Family & friends are invited.
