John Bartow Spradlin, 55 year old resident of Lanett passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at East Alabama Medical Center.

Mr. Spradlin was born Friday, June 16, 1961, in Langdale, the son of the late James Bartow and Mary Jim O'Neal Spradlin. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and the Warriors for Christ Sunday School Class. Mr. Spradlin worked for West Point Pepperell for over 20 years. He was a volunteer fireman for Huguley and Lanett Fire Departments. He loved his family.

Survivors include his wife, Pamelar Spradlin; his children, Billy and Bobby Johnson, Nicole, Justin, Joshua, Shelby and Sidney Spradlin; his sisters and brothers in law, Dee Dee and David Hardaway, Lee and Keith Wood; his brothers and sisters in law, Bobby and Janice Overcash, Danny and Mariesa Spradlin, Mike and Tina Spradlin; 4 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Roger Overcash and his granddaughter Zoey Johnson.

The family will greet friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM EDT until 8:00 PM EDT at Bluffton Funeral Services.

The funeral will be held Friday from the Chapel of Bluffton Funeral Services at 2:00 PM EDT with Brothers Stephen Grubbs and Larry Vinson officiating.

Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
