Kathy Jackson Smith, 58 year old resident of West Point, Georgia, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017, at West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Smith was born, April 7, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Betty Smith Jackson and the late Elbert Jackson. Kathy was a kind, nurturing soul and loved everyone she met. Her family was most important to her; a wonderful wife, caring mother that will be sadly missed.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Glenn "Smitty" Smith of West Point; her daughters, Cheyenne and Heather Smith both of West Point; her mother, Betty Jackson of West Point; and her brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Judy Jackson of Quitman, Texas. Other than her father, she is predeceased by her grandfather, Marcus Smith and her grandmother, Annie Smith Dorough.

Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at 2:00 PM EST from Bethel Baptist Church. Reverend Steve Sexton will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Bethel Baptist Church.
