Ms. Lenora Jackson passed away on December 7, 2024 at Lanier Memorial Hospital. Lenora was born on March 16, 1946 in West Point, Georgia. Her parents were Annie Flora Warner Jackson and Braxton LeeRoy Jackson.

She is survived by one sister, Elizabeth (Liz) Jackson Edmondson. Additional survivors include her nephew, Matthew Brooks Edmondson, brother-in-law, Dancil C. Edmondson, and several cousins.

Lenora attended West Point Public Schools and graduated from West Point High School in 1965. She went on to attend Georgia Southwestern College in Americus, Georgia, where she received a two-year business degree.

Lenora worked for West Point Pepperell in Accounts Receivable for many years. She also worked in the Billing Office at Lanier Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of West Point First United Methodist Church, where she played piano for several Sunday School classes. Lenora sang in the choir for over forty-five years. Lenora was also a member of the Pilot Club.

She loved her church, her country, her family, and her friends. May she rest in peace.

A funeral service for Ms. Jackson will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM EST at West Point First United Methodist Church with the body to lie in state for one hour prior. Reverend Ed Archer will officiate with interment to follow in Marseilles Cemetery in West Point, Georgia.
