Mrs. Lynda Juanita O'Steen (Nita) was 78 years old. She was born January 9th, 1945 in West Point, GA. She passed away Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her beloved family. She was a proud lifelong resident of West Point, GA.

Nita worked at the West Point Elementary School for 20 years, West Point Pepperell, Langdale Mill, and long-term care assistant for her nephew.

Preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Milbry Pitts and her brother Charlie Hugh Pitts.

Nita is survived by her husband of 59 years, James O'Steen. Children; Annette O'Steen, Jimbo (Robin) O'Steen and Richard (Christy) O'Steen. Grandchildren; Joey Hayes, Elizabeth (Kera) Adams, Beth O'Steen Crawford, Michelle (Phillip) Smith, Jessica O'Steen Stringer, Brandon O'Steen, Lindsey (Cody) Doughman, Brice O'Steen and Willow O'Steen, 17 great grandkids, and one great-great grandchild with one on the way.

Sisters; Dianne Jackowski, Mary (Jim) Bainbridge, Lucile Jones and sister by choice Nancy Clark.

Services will be held at Roper Heights Baptist Church in West Point, GA on Monday, May 15th, 2023.

Visitation will begin at 11 am. Funeral services will be at 12 noon with graveside services following immediately.
