Martha Ellen Bennett,72, of West Point GA passed away at her residence on Wednesday June 19, 2019.

The family will greet friends for Visitation Thursday June 20, 2019 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm EDT at Bluffton Funeral Services in Lanett, Alabama.

Funeral Services will be held at Roper Heights Baptist Church on Friday June 21, 2019 at 2:00 pm EDT.

Graveside Service will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Lanett, Alabama. Reverend Eddie Striblin will officiate.

Martha Ellen Bennett,72, of West Point, GA passed away at her residence on Wednesday June 19, 2019.

Ellen was born in Langdale, Alabama on September 30, 1946 to the late Leon and Jewel Gordon. Ellen graduated from Nursing school with an LPN degree on June 18, 1965. She retired from Lafayette Extended Care in 2011.

Ellen loved cooking and Alabama football. She always had a cake in the freezer for anyone that was in need.

Ellen is survived by her daughter, Angela M Bennett of West Point, Georgia and daughter in law Tracy Wynn of West Point, Georgia, sister Mary Nell Brown of Roanoke, Alabama and Janice (Mack) Bradley of Lanett, Alabama, and also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Mrytle Edwards , Laura Mae Knight; brothers Wendell Gordon, Eulice Gordon, and Mather Gordon.
