Patricia Ann Butler Brown, age 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, after a 3-week critical illness at Mission's Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina.

The family will greet friends Saturday, May 5, 2018, at 1:00 PM EDT with her funeral service beginning at 2:00 PM EDT from Roper Height Baptist Church.

Patricia, known to friends and family as Pat or Patsy, was born Wednesday, September 23, 1936, in Lanett, Alabama. She was raised in West Point, Georgia where she became a lifelong member of Roper Heights Baptist Church. She was a 1955 graduate of Center High School in Troup County, Georgia and a 1960 graduate of Chambers County School of Practical Nursing in Shawmut, Alabama. She lived in Georgia, Florida and Alabama before retiring to Weaverville, North Carolina in 2002.

At the early age of eight, Pat learned to study her bible. Throughout her life she became well versed in the Holy Scriptures. She was an avid prayer warrior. She raised four children, retired from nursing and was the loving wife of Mike for 56 years.

Pat is survived by her husband, Michael H. Brown; her children; Richard W. Helderbrand (Linda), Lynn H. Stewart, Sherrie Renee Cunningham (Brent), and Michael Shawn Brown; nine grandchildren: Jamie, Chris and Kelly Helderbrand, Sam Stewart, Kimberly and Sarah Cunningham, Joannah Golden, Georgia and Cooper Brown; seven great-grandchildren: Cameron Hardenbrook, Kirsten and Cara Mason, Brooklyn and Kaylyn Helderbrand, Hudson Cunningham and Hadley Dibuno; one brother Richard H. Butler.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Ida Ruth Barber Butler, her father John Richard Butler, sister Mary Elizabeth Freeman, brother John Barber Butler and one son Christopher Kirk Brown.
