Steve Darrow Yarbrough,75, of Lanett, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, Alabama.

Steve was born in West Point, Georgia Valley Hospital on November 22, 1945 to the late Willie and Elizabeth Irene Yarbrough. He graduated from Lanett High School in 1964 and Faith Bible Institute in 2009. He served in the United States Marine Corps for five years serving in Vietnam from 1966-1968. Steve retired from West Point Pepperell Lanett Mill after twenty years of service and then worked with Mutual savings Insurance Company. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church in Valley Alabama.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Willie Yarbrough and Elizabeth Irene Spradlin Harp Yarbrough, and his brother Arlen Harp. He is survived by his wife Sara Smith Yarbrough and their loving Dachshund Dennis; and brothers-in-law Virgil Smith and Gene (Betty) Smith along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will greet friends for Visitation on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 5:30-7:30 pm EDT at Bluffton Funeral Services in Lanett, Alabama.

There will be a graveside service on Friday October 15, 2021 starting at 11:00 am EDT at Marseilles Cemetery in West Point, Georgia. Reverend Darren White will officiate.
